THUNDERBIRDS!!!
Well, the weather was crappy, but I STILL got an "okay" shot of the USAF Thunderbirds, who are in FLL for the weekend airshow. I think just about everyone got a "peek" of at least one plane as they were scattered from Miami to West Palm Beach, due to the weather. Hopefully the next time they're here the weather will cooperate for the GREAT shot.......................

CONGRATULATIONS ADRIANA!!!!
Yesterday, my stepdaughter, Adriana Bendeck, was inducted into the National Honor Society! Adri has become quite the "go getter" in the past year. She's been on the high school swim team, tennis team, active in the local Civil Air Patrol, passed her private pilot written and soloed in an airplane, not to mention her incredibly difficult classes at Miramar High School, which she is excelling in! As a testament to her dedication and hard work, she's now in the prestigious National Honor Society! WOW! Congratulations Adri! We're all very proud of you and your incredible accomplishments! I've attached two photos: one of Adriana, and one of her with her mom, Maria. Very nice!

BRUTUS COOLS OFF
Brutus, my stepson's coaches dog, comes to visit every now and then when Chris brings Jimmy home. He gets so excited by the menagerie of stuffed animals around the house and literally has to go visit and say "hello" to each and every one. Needless to say, since Brutus is a fairly small dog, it takes a little while for him to do this. But Brutus goes at FULL SPEED until his "hello everyone" task is accomplished, and then it's time for his "cool down". We noticed as soon as we open the refrigerator door, Brutus jumps up on the bottom ledge to cool off. Here's a shot of him doing this. Pretty funny, but pretty smart too! Thanks for coming to visit us Brutus! You and Chris are always welcome!

OLD FRIEND FROM JFK!
I recently was contacted by an old friend that I've known since the early 90's. Roger was a controller at the JFK tower in NYC. Over the years we've kept in touch, and he'd been living in St Thomas for the past 15 or so years, so I was really surprised to hear from him the other day that he'd moved to Miami, and was now the manager of the Tamiami control tower! How cool is that? At any rate, we were able to meet up for some breakfast and here's a shot of him and my stepdaughter, Adriana. Hopefully we can get together for dinner soon! Great having you back in the USA Roger!
