CANCUN BEACHES!!!!

The beaches in Cancun are certainly some of the most aesthetically appealing I've ever seen (next to those in Destin and Fort Walton Beach, Florida).  Here's an aerial shot I took during a recent departure from Cancun.  The white sand below the blue water makes it a sight to behold!  I really enjoy our overnights in Cancun, but I just wish the place wasn't so "Americanized". 

LAKE MICHIGAN ICE FLOES

While flying back to Newark from San Diego last week, I took this  photo of ice floes in Lake Michigan, just to the east of Chicago.  It sure looks cold down there!  I'll stick with the warm weather of Florida.  This things do make for nice photos though! :-) 

ICE FOG!!!

Recently while flying from San Francisco to Cancun, I observed an absolutely gorgeous sight!  Ice fog!  You can see it forming in the valley................. It was a great day for picture taking and I can't believe this shot came out so nice.  Once again, what a privilege to have such a great office that allows me to see such incredible sights!

743 MPH!!!!!

During a recent flight from San Diego (SAN), to Newark (EWR), we were able to take advantage of the jetstream which gave us an incredible "tailwind".  Our groundspeed (the actual speed over the ground) was 645 KNOTS which equates to 742.78 miles per hour!  I  made an announcement to the passengers that this was probably the fastest many will go in their lives....................as it was the SECOND fastest I've ever flown in 35 years of flying.  Pretty cool!!!!!  BTW, looks like I can finally post photos again.  Sweet!  

FRUSTRATION

Well, I'm back to not being able to download photos......................   What good is a blog if I can't download anything.....................?????  Hope the hackers are happy...............
