SOMETHING NEAT IN ARIZONA!

One of the more interesting "sites" we fly over when going from California to Newark, is located just west of Winslow, Arizona. It's call the "Barringer Meteor Crater" and is an awesome sight from above. I took this aerial photo from around 35,000 feet a couple of weeks ago and thought you might like it. This crater is about a mile across and approximately 500 feet deep. Supposedly, (not sure if it's true or not) a flight attendant, when shown the crater, noticed the road next to it and said, "wow, it almost hit that road next to it!" This crater was created over 50,000years ago. Did they have roads back then? More importantly though, is did they have Mercedes Benz's back then??? Hmmmmmmm.................... Here's a link to some interesting facts/background about this meteor crater:

And while you're at it, check out my other photos.

THANKS

Hey Steven,
You have some great closeup shots! I find animal photos some of the most interesting and your worm photo is a good example of that. Nice work! karl
